New mentorship program inspires students and alumni

More than 40 students, alumni mentors, sponsors and special guests attended Davenport University’s inaugural Alumni Mentor Kick-Off Reception at the W.A. Lettinga Campus during the last week of September.

The event ― sponsored by Consumers Credit Union ― allowed students and mentors to meet, socialize and set goals for the year.

Ann Vidro, Keynote Speaker and Alumni Board Member, spoke on the importance of setting goals.

“She shared how goal setting has been the foundation to her success as a business owner, CFO, mom, volunteer and serial entrepreneur,” said Sara Mooney, Assistant Director of Alumni Communications and Development. “Ann used real-life examples to outline the importance of setting goals for not only the mentor program, but for the future. By the end of her presentation, Ann inspired us all to start our own lists for the new school year.”
